![]() ![]() There is a connection point on the board labelled 'ANT', but nothing is soldered there (not even on his working 49MHz bumper car controller).Īm I doing this right? Is the controller where I should be focusing? Are there any troubleshooting steps or 'fixes' I should try? I appreciate your collective wisdom, and apologize if this is better suited for another channel. One thing I found very odd was that the antenna wasn't soldered to the PCB, it was 'connected' by compression to some solder points on the PCB (a screw helped to sandwich the antenna between the plastic housing and the PCB). I dismantled the controller to see if a wire had become unsoldered or broken, but I didn't see anything glaringly wrong. I believe the issue is with the TX, as the car will move forward/backward if I use another 27MHz controller (from an RC car that has long since died). My young son got a pair of retro-themed bumper cars over Christmas and has managed to damage one already - it no longer responds to the controller. ![]() You should see the option to edit your flair right above this section.īe sure to post any sites I don't have listed here.
