Taking another test as your second attempt still constitutes a retest. A common placement test can be any one of the local tests available based on 6A-10.0315. The first attempt on a common placement test is free to BC students. Retesting fee applies to all retest attempts. Time restarts for LOEP testing eligibility one year after the initial test date, not the retest date.Students must wait a minimum of 1 day to retest after their initial attempt.Students are entitled to retest no more than one (1) time provided it is within 12 months of the initial test date. Note: BC administers an ACCUPLACER ESL (LOEP) test sequence specifically designed for BC students. The QAS subtest is administered if a student scores at the EAP0420C or EAP1520C level on the ESL Reading Skills subtest.NG QAS (Qualitative, Reasoning, and Statistics).ESL Language Use (only used for college ready placement).If you do not know the answer to a question, try to eliminate one or more of the choices. You can change your answer to a particular question before moving on to the next question, but you cannot leave a question out or come back to it later to change your answer. Because the test works this way, you must answer every question in the order it is given. This technique selects just the right questions for your ability level. This means that the questions are chosen for you on the basis of your answers to previous questions. The ESL Reading Skills, ESL Language Use, ESL Listening, and NG QAS (Qualitative, Reasoning, and Statistics) math subtests of the ACCUPLACER ESL (LOEP) are adaptive. It's important to give each question as much thought as possible before selecting an answer. The response to each question drives the difficulty level of the next question. Questions are presented based on individual's skill level. There's no time limit (except for WritePlacer ESL essay). Students taking this test are placed into classes according to their skill level. The Broward College ACCUPLACER ESL (LOEP) is a multiple-choice format (except for WritePlacer ESL essay).
